Super Visa

A Super Visa lets you visit your children or grandchildren for up to 5 years form July 2022. It’s a multi-entry visa that provides multiple entries for a period up to 10 years.A super visa is a special type of visa designed for parents and grandparents of citizens or permanent residents, allowing them to visit their family in Country for an extended period.

Eligibility Criteria for a Super Visa

Relationship Proof: Be the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

Invitation Letter:Obtain a written invitation from your child or grandchild in Canada, including a promise of financial support for the duration of your visit.

Proof of Relationship:Provide documents proving the relationship to the Canadian host (e.g., birth certificates, family tree).

Medical Insurance: Purchase and provide proof of private medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company that is valid for at least one year and covers health care, hospitalization, and repatriation, with a minimum coverage of CAD 100,000.

Medical Examination: Undergo a medical examination to demonstrate that you are in good health.

Financial Requirements: Demonstrate that your child or grandchild meets the minimum necessary income requirements to support you during your stay in Canada.

Ties to Home CountryShow that you have strong ties to your home country, ensuring your return at the end of your visit.

Application Process:

1. Submit Application: 1. Complete the super visa application form and submit it along with the required documents to the appropriate Canadian visa office.

2. Processing Time: Wait for the application to be processed, which may take several weeks or months depending on the volume of applications and other factors.

Decision: 3. Once the application is processed, the applicant will receive a decision on whether their super visa has been approved.

Travel to Canada: 4. If approved, the applicant can travel to Canada and stay for up to two years on each visit without needing to renew their visa.
